Our Success
Our over-riding aim always has been to serve the needs of our Members. Many friendly societies began life as affinity groups to meet the needs of a particular trade, profession or vocation. Over time, many, through necessity or desire, have expanded to the wider public. Some have made the conscious decision, with the contraction of their particular sectors, that the purpose behind their formation has been served and they have been dissolved.
Our original objectives remain today though our audience has much changed over time. Consideration has been given to opening our membership door to complementary groups but it remains a strong belief that the railway industry provides a significant sector within which to operate and expand.
The key factors to our future success are:
that we continue to offer uncomplicated and easily understood products appropriate to the needs of the Membership,
that we continue to achieve growth both in members and premiums volume without significantly increasing our cost base,
to increase Society awareness within the railway industry,
to maximise both our revenue and profitability, and
for us to continue to understand the needs of our Members and to serve them.
